Speech Interpretation has been used in numerous domains with considerable success. However, applications using speech recognition are still rare for automating Operational Support Systems. Successful systems ensure top productivity for the relatively few highly skilled network engineers using them. Introducing a Speech Interpretation network assistant (SINA) within network operations reduces operational expenses by automating otherwise manual tasks and complex functions through voice commands.
The system is smart enough to learn from the user’s behavior and suggest recommendations or additional information regarding the monitored network.
This Catalyst project demonstrates a digital transformation approach within network operations using TM Forum Open API standards and helps with seamless integration of heterogeneous networks for daily operational support.
There are numerous other potential use cases that can be achieved outside the scope of this proof of concept, using simple speech to automate network operational commands.
